Burial

The decision between burial and cremation is a very personal one and may be guided by family tradition or the wishes of your loved one.

If burial is your preferred choice, we will ask whether their is an existing grave owned or whether a new grave will be required.

Where an existing grave is to be used, we will require the Lair Certificate or any documentation relating to the grave.

We can advise on the availability of new graves in churchyards, local authority cemeteries, and private cemeteries.

New graves may be purchased as single or double-depth lairs. In some cemeteries, it may also be possible to purchase an adjoining grave next to your loved one. We will be happy to advise whether this option is available in your chosen cemetery.
