Mary MacDonald

1935 ~ 2026

Peacefully, surrounded by family at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness on Friday, 10th April 2026, Mary MacDonald (née Campbell) aged 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Archie, devoted mum of Mary, Morag, Jane and Catriona, a loving grannie of Laurah, Arran, Jenny, Archie and James, cherished great grannie to Jasmine, KC and Brodie, proud  great-great grannie to George, a dear sister of Alex and the late Chrissie, and a dearly loved auntie to all her family.


Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026 in Kilmallie Free Church of Scotland; thereafter Kilmallie Cemetery. Floral tributes welcome. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to The Telford Centre and Scottish Air Ambulance can be given at the service.

Isobel McGavin

1945 ~ 2026

Suddenly, while enjoying a wonderful family gathering, Isobel Letham McGavin (née Rough), passed away peacefully on Saturday, 4th April 2026 at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. A dearly loved wife of the late Donald, loving mum of Andrew, Fiona and Susie, devoted and much-loved grandma, dear sister of James and John, a special and good friend of many.


Funeral service to celebrate Isobel’s 80 wonderful years will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, 16th April 2026 in Glen Nevis Restaurant; thereafter a private cremation. Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to British Heart Foundation, can be given at the service.


Jim Vickers

1953 ~ 2026

Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, 19th March 2026, Jim Vickers, aged 72 years. A loving husband of Margaret, a dearly loved brother, brother-in-law, nephew and uncle. 


Funeral ceremony will be held at 10 am on Friday, 10th April 2026 at Inverness Crematorium; thereafter a celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at 2.30 pm in Caol Community Centre. Family flowers only please. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to Lochaber Macmillan Nurses can be given at the service. All are most welcome to attend both ceremonies.

Keith Read 

1948 ~ 2026

Suddenly, but peacefully with the compassionate staff of The Mackintosh Centre, Mallaig on Sunday, 8th March 2026, Keith William Arthur Read, aged 77 years. R.I.P. A dearly loved husband of Eleanor, a loving father of Debbie, grandad of Christian and Casey, brother of Heather and Pamela. 


Funeral Service to be held at 12 noon on Monday, 30th March 2026 in St. Cumin's R.C Church Morar; thereafter to Beoraid Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Church Fabric Fund.


Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

Peacefully, in the wonderful care of Abbeyfield House, Ballachulish on Sunday, 8th March 2026, Isobel Nicholas MacFarlane, aged 89 years. R.I.P. A loving wife of Charlie, a much-loved mother of Jane, Duncan and Iain, dearly loved grandmother of Michael, Nico, Lukas, Fina, Sophia, Bella, Seumas and Duncan. 


Requiem Mass to be held at 1pm on Saturday, 14th March 2026 in St. Mary & St. Finnan R.C. Church, Glenfinnan; thereafter to Dail Naoinh Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Mary’s Meals can be given at the service.

Lewis MacKintosh

Peacefully, in the the care of Belford Hospital, Fort William on Friday, 27th February 2026, Lewis John Alexander MacKintosh, aged 85 years. Devoted husband of the late Effie, a loving dad of John, cherished father-in-law of Donna and most loving grandpa of Alistair and Fraser. 


Funeral Service will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, 12th March 2026 in Kilmallie Parish Church, Corpach; thereafter to Kilmallie Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Lochaber Macmillan Nurses can be given at the service.
